Floral Designer Needed - Oakville True Flowers is a retail flower boutique located in downtown Oakville, specializing in custom floral designs for everyday, events, and business.
We are looking for a part time floral designer to work 4 days a week to assist in running the day-to-day operations of the business who is a team player, dependable, highly organized with strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and have experience effectively servicing customers in a retail environment.
Previous floral experience working in a flower shop or in the floral industry, or formal floral training is required. General duties include: Creating custom floral arrangements and bouquets for daily orders, weddings & events - Providing excellent customer service to walk-in customers and over the phone which includes taking detailed orders, processing cash and credit card sales and wrapping as required - Help maintain the shop as needed (merchandising, preparing supplies, cleaning etc) - Plant and maintain orchids and other plants - Help unload and process incoming floral shipments - Opening and closing the shop - Assist with other day to day operations of the business as required (planning, organizing orders, ordering supplies, etc) Qualifications & requirements include: Previous experience working in a flower shop or in the floral industry, or formal floral training is required - Available to work on Saturdays - Proficient in English with clear handwriting - Able to work while standing for most of the day and able to lift up to 50lbs (buckers, large arrangements, boxes of flowers, etc) We are a new and growing business and at this time we are looking for help 4 days a week with more help being needed around seasonal periods, busy times and to cover staff vacation.
