The Sales Representative is responsible for selling flowers to both walk in and delivery clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing a solid customer experience by answering questions or concerns (phone or in person).
Develop relationships with customers.
Assist all customers by taking pre-orders, providing solutions to issues that arise, and helping them when they pick up their orders.
Occasional work inside floral cooler – assisting customers & pulling orders.
You will use your direct access to our inventory management team and buyers to develop knowledge on current supply levels to provide all customers with accurate information.
Other duties/assisting teammates as needed during peak times.
Must have qualifications:
Cut floral product knowledge. Our team can add to your existing knowledge, but you already have a solid product knowledge foundation that allows our customers to rely on Apex for their needs.
Previous Cut Floral experience
Purchasing experience is a definite plus as you will understand the needs of our clients.
Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and customers.
Patience and positivity when dealing with customers and fellow staff in your sales roll.
Organized – we are a fast-moving operation – and timelines can be compressed. Your efficient and organized work gets you and the sales team thru peak times, and provides exceptional customer service.
Basic handling of computers – we use QuickBooks and Outlook
English comprehension and communication in writing
Ability to work Tuesday to Saturday (Tuesday to Friday 5:00 am to 1:30 pm) & Saturday (6:00 am to 12:00 pm), while understanding peak times (Valentines’, Mothers’ Day, etc) will require extra paid hours.
Due to the early start times, you must have reliable transportation.
Compensation:
Base hourly rate starting at $20.00/hr, following 90-day probation pay to increase to $22.50 and based on performance reviewed 6 months after probation period, could earn an additional $2.50/hr.
Commissions on assigned customers, paid quarterly, after your probationary period.

I am very experienced with making a clients vision their reality through enthusiastic customer service and attention to detail. I am looking for a position with a boutique style shop or design studio in the GTA (but preference given to west GTAareas).
These are some of my determining factors for a position: I am not looking for a wedding/event only based floral position as set up and take down is no longer something I am willing to do. I will not work any Sundays and am available only 2 Saturdays per month. Looking for no more than 30 hours a week max but understand when it comes to major floral holidays this will be much more. I am a maker primarily and a very efficient one, I prefer to be behind the scenes doing my thing.
